These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of BookOrSkip at bookorskip.com and our browser extension (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. What BookOrSkip is
BookOrSkip is an independent review platform for accommodations. We are not a booking platform, travel agency, or property owner. Scores and reviews reflect guest opinions on BookOrSkip — not official ratings from Airbnb, Booking.com, or any host.
3. Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
- Your public display name is a pseudonym. Do not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity to other users.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Review Policy.
4. Reviews and content
When you submit a review, photo, or other content (“User Content”), you grant BookOrSkip a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Service.
You agree that your User Content:
- Is based on a genuine stay or honest experience.
- Does not contain hate speech, harassment, or illegal material.
- Does not include private information about other people (names, contact details, etc.).
- Complies with our Review Policy.
We moderate content before or after publication and may remove content that violates our policies without notice.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post fake, paid, or competitor-manufactured reviews.
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download content without permission.
- Attempt to bypass security measures or access others' accounts.
- Use the Service for spam, fraud, or unlawful purposes.
- Reverse-engineer or interfere with the Service's operation.
6. Intellectual property
BookOrSkip's name, logo, design, and software are our property. You may not use our branding without written permission. User Content remains yours; we only use it as described above.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is”. Reviews reflect individual guest experiences and may not match yours. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or availability. BookOrSkip scores and verdicts are informational — not booking advice or guarantees about any property.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BookOrSkip and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including booking decisions based on reviews or scores.
9. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. You may delete your account at any time via your account settings or by contacting us.
10. Governing law & contact
These Terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where BookOrSkip operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes should first be raised with us at [email protected].
