The problem
Reviews on Airbnb and Booking.com skew positive. Guests fear retaliation — hosts review guests back, know exactly who wrote what, and can make future bookings harder. Honest negative feedback gets buried.
Our answer
BookOrSkip is independent of booking platforms and hosts. Reviewers use a public pseudonym — never their real name. Hosts cannot punish you here. We verify stays privately when you choose, but never expose your identity.
Think of it as honest guest feedback for every kind of stay: hotels, Airbnbs, hostels, vacation rentals, and apartments worldwide.
How scoring works
Each property gets a BookOrSkip score (0–10) from real guest ratings across cleanliness, location, noise, Wi-Fi, value, and safety. A score of 7.0 or higher means BOOK; below that means SKIP. Simple, clear, check-before-you-book.
Free and independent
Reading scores and reviews is free. Writing a review requires a free account. Properties cannot pay to remove or edit reviews. Our browser extension shows the verdict right on listing pages while you browse.
